To unarchive a story on Instagram, first open the app and go to your profile. Tap the three lines on the top right, then open “Archive.” After that, choose the story you want to bring back. Open the story, tap the three dots or “More” option, and you can either share it again to your story or save it as a highlight on your profile. Instagram does not fully restore old stories to the original posting date, but you can repost them easily.
From my personal experience, I mostly use the archive feature to repost old travel or business promotion stories when engagement feels low.
