Is AI Improving SEO Content Writing… or Killing It?

I don’t think AI is killing SEO—but it’s definitely shaking things up.

Yeah, it’s crazy fast. You can go from idea to full blog in minutes, which is something we couldn’t imagine a few years ago. That’s a huge win, especially for small creators or businesses trying to keep up. But the flip side is obvious too—there’s a ton of content now that all sounds the same. Same structure, same points, just rewritten over and over.

The problem isn’t really AI, it’s lazy use of AI. If someone is just hitting “generate” and publishing without adding anything of their own, it shows. The content feels flat, generic, and honestly forgettable. There’s no real experience or opinion behind it.

I don’t think Google should punish AI content just for being AI. That wouldn’t make sense. Bad content is bad content, whether a human or AI wrote it. What should matter is whether it’s actually useful, clear, and brings something new.

Long term, I don’t see AI beating real experts. People can tell when something is written by someone who actually knows their stuff. The sweet spot is using AI to save time, but still adding your own thoughts, examples, and personality.

So yeah, AI isn’t ruining SEO—it’s just making average content easier to produce. Which means good content has to be better than ever.
